So we have decided to paint my newer to me 1992 Z28 Convertible and I need some help for sourcing some parts and some help with all things that will need to be done.
First of all, I am a person who likes to keep my cars asthetically correct. So obviously I am not going to be modifying the appearance much if at all.
The condition of the body is quite good, but, there are some cracks in the paint in two location from which I assume is bond/filler lurking underneath.
Being a convertible, everthing on the left side of the car seems to be thighter i.e. decklid gap to fender, hood to fender, ect. I have wondered if this is from the twisting of the chassis? The car sits 1/4 inch higher on the left hand side, which really isn't noticable unless you look at the car like I do. I plan to have them re-hang the doors as well.
The parts I will need some help on are correct rocker badges, correct bumber badges, will need a new rear bumper cover(torn on right rear) new lower front spoiler. My biggest question of all is if it is possible to get new door stickers(tire, vin, info) and if possible where I can get them.
The car is arctic white and will stay white. The work will be done by a local shop and I am hoping to keep the job in the 4k range(which would include all additional parts and trim that would need to be replaced.
A little info on the car. BTW I struggled deciding whether or not to do the paint on this because its not going to add that kind of value to the car, but the car is my favorite and its just kind of cool.

Car looks pretty sharp! Does it really need new paint? Looks like the paint on it is actually really nice, but if you'r painting it, I would def do a pearl white. F-bodies look awesome in pearl white, and I have yet to see one I didn't like. Anyways, good luck with it....I have always LOVED convertible third gens.

Was just wondering how much are you going to say you paid for it next week?

I currently just bought a 1992 Z28 convertible that was a steal of a deal for 2k.

Picked this car (my $1500 1992 vert) off craigslist with intentions so clean it up and sell it, but I guess I fell in love. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
