A few things come to mind when reading a thread like that.
1. How do we know that's an authentic story? Anyone can drive their Firebird into some garage, snap a picture and then make up a story about it. Where's the proof.
2. If it is true, it's clearly a foolish mistake by the owner since a GTA in that kind of condition could easily garner more then $4500 on the open market... and it will drive up values/prices on the remaining GTA's still in hands of other owners.
3. But another aspect a lot don't touch on, again assuming this is true... is the utter idiocy of the dealer ("BMW-Mini of the Woodlands"), in letting a valuable car go to waste. They could have arranged the deal differently if they had a clue about the values of various cars.
The yard buying that car will make a killing parting that thing out.
