The only thirdgen Firehawk convertible

I found out that they only made one of them. Where is she now and how many miles on her? Any clues?

Really? I'm talking about the SLP Formula Firehawk that they only made 25 of. Supposedly one of those was a convertible.

As stated in the article......
"A congratulatory letter from Ed Hamburger of SLP dated January 10, 1993, stated, "Your 'All American Street Fighter' Trans Am convertible was the only Trans Am Firehawk built and the only convertible Firehawk built." It was also the last, and numbered 27, and because it was a T/A, there is no "Formula Firehawk" graphic on the doors, like the other models."

The last few cars were dealer lot grabs converted by SLP and they do not have the RPO for the Firehawk at all. They are just custom orders as is this one.

If it's not a red hard top 350 Formula with the correct RPO it's one of these customs. I think the ones after 22 or something are, my memory fails me these days...

It's a beautiful car and a special one at that but a value of "deep six figures" seems out of line to me. Yes, i know if some one will pay it that is what its worth but..... Formula Firehawaks are valued at what?

Re: The only thirdgen Firehawk convertible

Keep in mind that it is one of a kind. Granted, deep six figures... I would think a price of $100K would not be unreasonable honestly typical run-of-the-mill (like those words ever should be combined with) Firehawks are going for around $50K right now. Typically verts go for twice of a hard top counterpart.

IMO $50k is now a steal for a Hawk.....

Hemi Cuda Verts bring 5 to 10 times that of a hardtop.

IMO #003 is worth every bit as much because of the options. I'd cap it at $80K though, maybe $85K.

Being that I'm not into verts at all, I'd take #003 if they were both offered to me for the same price

Ha, Ha.... you would say that! For 100 it would have already been setting in a new garage. It took almost twice that price a year ago and I'll bet the price has gone up.

What's interesting is that the vert is undercoated (not surprising since it was a 305/5 speed car pulled off the dealers lot and converted.) The undercoating turned me off but then again, it's one of one.
