hey guys, i got a 1984 camaro, v6 carb backed with a 5spd. and on the rear bumper on the driver side it says F41...looks factory but my question is it? and if so what is it? like an engine, trans, suspension upgrade? thanks for the help.
F41 is an option code for upgraded suspension. I'm not sure what all items would have been upgraded, but I would assume it's similar to the WS6 firebird package.

sweeeeeeet! finally i dont feel so bad for "wasting" so much time and some money. and to think i paid only 600 for it. and whats the WS6 upgrade have? and ill try to search for the things upgraded but would anyone happen to know where i can find it?
ya thanks lol i did a search on here, like i should of the frst time. and found out that ya the front/rear sway bars are bigger then base but smaller then z28. and also the shocks/struts where a little stiffer. and then there was some saying that that got the quick ratio streering box, i havent investagated this but mine does seem to turn pretty quickly.
anywas thanks for the help.
Later on the RPO was dropped and that suspension became standard on all Camaros. The springs and sway bars on mine were nothing like an IROC/WS6, but it did have a good feel to it.
Yep 1986, I looked it up in the white book and it says bigger front and back sway bars and special shocks. It's a pretty obscure option so who knows what it really had.
My other car is a Berlinetta and it used to be the worst handling Thirdgen I've owned. I've upgraded most of the suspension on both and it was well worth it.
