That seems low for a GTA, my 91 GTA is $24K on the sticker.

Re: On the title, how much was your cars list price?
Never saw a price on my title, I think it varies from state to state. But for the sake of having a price. My sticker according to the dealer invoice was $16,172.00 for my 1984 L69/T5/CC1/WS6/W62/B20/NP5 blah blah blah Trans Am
Re: On the title, how much was your cars list price?
The price on the Title would have been the base price, not as equipped. I am not sure about other states, but in Michigan they changed from using the weight of the car to assess license plate tag prices, to using the cars initial value. For example, my 1987 Formula is rated at 11, as the base price was 11,999 IIRC.
More or less it was a way to get more annual money from the public...

Re: On the title, how much was your cars list price?
My car's MSRP was only $18,374.
It has only four extra cost options on the sticker -- Performance Axle, 245/50ZR16 tires, leather interior, and rear cargo shade. The radio delete was a $165 credit.

Re: On the title, how much was your cars list price?
By charging for the original price of the car instead of weight or a flat rate, they can increase your taxes without telling you that they are increasing your taxes. The weight of cars had come down by the 80's and why they changed it, Also when you consider inflation and the fact that every year the price of a new car goes up...

Yeah, and you have possibly the best engine ever installed in a Pontiac.. it was made only 2.5 miles from where I sit... So I am biased... granted the 350's and 305's were made 5 miles from where I sit so I guess I cant be too biased...
I really would like to stuff a Buick into my Formula... Finding one any more is the hard part.

I appreciate the Van Nuys cars as well - I had a new '85 305 TPI and a new '87 350 TPI. The V6 runs very nice. When I purchased this one last year, I was surprised to see that the window sticker shows the manufacturer as PAS and the final assembly point as City Of Industry, CA. I knew they were done by PAS, but I didn't realize they were considered the manufacturer.
Re: On the title, how much was your cars list price?
Actually the unique thing about the TTA is the VIN.. Where almost all Pontiac Firebirds after 1982 thru 1992 have a VIN of 1G2... ONLY the TTA has a VIN of 1G5... The 3rd Gen Camaros all start with 1G1 BTW.
