Looking at the e-bay ad i wonder what those little flairs are on the rear quarter panels by the taillights? Don't recall seeing them before on a vert. Is the bottom stiping correct on the outside? And, i don't recall seeing the ASC logo where the fog light switch should be...Are they SLP runners on the engine? Pictures are not that great...

Willie is really the 87 convertible expert around here. Basically, all 87 Camaro convertibles are marked as special edition, or had a map pocket with 20th anniversary edition printed on it.

The stripes are correct for a Z28. The flares near the tail lights probably cover the holes from the 3pc spoiler that was removed in the convertible conversion. Pretty sure the dash plaque instead of the map pocket means it was a ASC conversion and not a factory convertible... The runners look like stock equipment to me, but the rust proofing is a bummer.

That car is an aftermarket convertible. All official convertibles have a 3 as the 6th digit. A coupe is designated by a 2 in the 6th position. ASC did do convertible packages for dealers after the fact. They received the Special Edition badge. The factory convertibles have the map pocket. Drew is correct that the plastic at the tail lights is covering the rear spoiler holes. I may have to take a look at this car.

And all Factory convertible conversion cars, RPO Z08 were built in Norwood for '87.. Chris
