Low mile 1991 RS

This car looks really clean. Asking $16,900 for it an it's got around 1,900 miles on it.

Some parts of the underside of the car have rust on them, I was surprised at that since the rest of the car looks show room new.

1991 Chevrolet Camaro RS with 1,928 miles

Yes, 1928 original miles!

This is one of the lowest mileage third generation Camaros available for sale!

I purchased this car from the original owner!

Purchased new at O’Connor Chevrolet located in Rochester, NY on 04-14-1991!

Fully documented with Bill of Sales, window sticker and service records!

Original owner’s manuals, keys and key chain and lug nut tool!

Always garaged and treated with care. This car has never even been in the rain!

The body is virtually flawless and the Dark Red Metallic paint is absolutely stunning. This is a beautiful color that POPS in the sunlight!

**The only exterior minor imperfections are a very small ding on the driver’s door under the handle which is barely noticeable and the center caps to the wheels have a little bit of corrosion***

The exterior is complimented with a Red Cloth interior that is like brand new. Everything in the interior works as it should including the air conditioning which was upgraded to the new system. This interior still smells brand new!

The engine compartment is extremely detailed and leaves me lost for words. It’s the most detailed engine compartment I’ve ever seen in a third generation Camaro. As the service records indicates this car was serviced yearly like clockwork. It starts, runs and drives excellent as you’d expect with 1,928 original miles!

The undercarriage is also very clean and in beautiful condition. The floors are virtually flawless and all the factory tags and chalk marks are still in place!
Complete MS CLASSIC CARS classic car detail!
As the original window sticker indicates this car came with the following factory options:

Camaro RS preferred equipment group #2 $1937.00
• Air Conditioning
• Electronically tuned AM/FM stereo with cassette tape player, digital clock with extended range sound system.
• Power windows.
• Power locks.
• Electronic speed control with resume
• Power hatch release
• Rear compartment cover
• Body side moldings
• Color-keyed front and rear floor mats
• Dual mirrors
5.0 liter E.F.I. V8 engine $350.00
P235/55 R-16 S/B Radial Touring tires $170.00
Electric rear window defogger $170.00
New York warranty enhancements $65.00
16” aluminum wheels with locks N/C

“As my website indicates I’ve collected and sold many beautiful third generation Camaro’s including the 1985 Camaro “Live Aid Signature Car” that I sold at Barrett Jackson for $46,200.00. The 1991 Camaro you’re about to witness is a very special car based on the history and extremely low mileage. I purchased this car from the original owner who bought it 23 years ago! He purchased it as a toy with intentions of driving it on the weekends for enjoyment. Life was busy and unfortunately it didn’t get used as often as he planned. This car has always been babied and garaged. Matter of fact, it’s never seen rain. As the service records indicate every year around the exact same time it was serviced at the Chevrolet dealership. This is the kind of classic car that collectors want with low mileage because it was kept up with all these years and wasn’t left to rot. This is one of the most original and beautiful third generation Camaro’s I’ve ever seen. If you’ve been looking for a third generation Camaro with extremely low mileage and didn’t want to spend a fortune you’ve found the car. I would challenge anyone to find a comparable car for less. Get it before someone else does!”

Re: Low mile 1991 RS

I owned this very car in Teal. She gave me 300,000 miles of service. The body was clean of rust, straight and tight almost to the end. I would have rebuilt her even then. But just before I was sending it to the shop, My brother In Law backed into the side of the car and 3 weeks later an idiot on a phone drove across the empty parking lot of a grocery store and hit the other side. What a fun car.

Beautiful car but the underside is far rustier than in should be, must have been stored in a damp location for the floors to get rust starting on them like that

Those Parts Were Installed Bare Metal,They Weren't Painted,They Had A Protective Coating When Shipped To The Factory For Assembly To Prevent Rust,But After 23 Years That Coating Is Long Gone,And You Get The Rust.

True, my rear axle on my Mustang was red the day the car came off the truck just a couple weeks after the car was built.

Beautiful car! But what happened to the factory muffler tailpipe assembly? The one on there is a generic replacement.

Re: Low mile 1991 RS

Yeah Seems Strange The Muffer Would Need To Be Replaced With Less Than 2,000 Miles On The Car.

Those are one of the first things to rust out on a car that isn't driven. It looks like it was replaced about 10-15 years ago.

Condensation and moisture from running the engine just sits in the exhaust and causes it to rust out in no time because it doesn't get hot enough to vaporize. Perfectly normal. My car had a hole in the bottom of the muffler by 1998 large enough to get my hand inside to the palm.

Re: Low mile 1991 RS

Most of the things that are rusty, are the things that rust easily. Most can be quickly replaced or cleaned and rust proofed. Just went through same thing with my car. I found it in storage for 12 years. Cleaned off rust just like this and rust proofed the entire underside. Unless this car was stored in someones climate controlled garage, this is what you find. Is it worth it? I think so. But I would drive it for 300,000 miles or more.
