Differences in Cargo shades, which cars had which?

I picked up a rear cargo shade last week since it looked nicer than my current one. But after I took it home I noticed the hook ups are different. The one I have has two metal "clips" that hook up to the hatch trim, and this other one just has a "U" clip that attaches I don't know where. So it looks like I can't use it and will just have to sell it. But which cars have which? Which is more common? And how does this other one hook up? Thanks for the info.

Here's my own cargo shade:

I have never seen the second one you pictured, it looks like a t-top bag hook on that one.

I was thinking that, too. But I can't find any sort of hook at the back of the deck. And I can't remember which car I pulled this out of.

Maybe willie might know.

I would think you could just put your old handle/mounting part on the new one.

I've seen three varieties of the cargo shade. The first style used is vinyl, like the first one you posted. Later GM switched to canvas. In 92 the canvas carried over, but GM put a fuzzy material around the ends of the rear bar. I'm guessing the extra padding was added to quiet rattles.

I've never seen any other colors than black, and I've never seen one with a ttop bag clip like the second you posted. If you remove the screws and pull the rod out of the cover, you should be able to swap the rod from your other cover and that will allow you to use your old handle and clips.
