History / Restoration Got a question about Third Gen (1982-1992) Camaro or Firebird history? Where can I find these original parts? What is this option or RPO code? Those questions, answers, and more!

Awesome, I actually remember a couple of those! Think I remember those coming on during He-man, Transformers, and Voltron. I was little in the 80's and all I knew was that these were the hot cars to have!
That's gay... But then gay was cool in the 80's. Just look at Top Gun for evidence.
The Pontiac commercial cracked me up. I don't think I saw a single car in there that one of my friends didn't own. The Fiero GT fastback is something you don't see everyday. Same with the Sunbird GT.
I cant believe I was a part of that time period, we thought we were so cool back then. I do collect the 80's Firebird HW's so that was a nice clip, did you see how fast it was going? It's that fast in real life.
Here is the RARE (oops I said the R word) French casting:
Dig the U58 radio at 1:55 in the video .. I can't find that radio anywhere.
There's also a 1983 version of the dealer video.. anyone have that one? I have it in .mpeg format at home, but haven't seen it on youtube..

Thanks for the links. I found them entertaining, interesting and informative. I'm debating on what to do with my 1982 Trans Am, have it for sale at the moment for $6000 but honestly, I really love that car!!! I bought it new in California in August 1982 and it's been parked in the garage for the last 14 years. Needs some TLC, but really in pretty decent shape and wouldn't take too much to bring it back to pristine condition. Low mileage and black with T-tops and leather interior. More info for anyone wanting to know. Anyway, thanks for the links.

Dear Robert,
I noticed that you are online at the moment and also an old pro at this website, so I was wondering why Third Gen makes people wait until they've been in the system for at least 15 days before they can post their cars here for sale? Seems a bit unfair to the other members since if a person wants to sell a car, they'll be marketing it somewhere else for a full two weeks before they can post in here. Wouldn't you think Third Gen would want their people to know about buying opportunities before others? Just thinking out loud here. Of course, I'm a girl, so what do I really know about how men's minds work (and vice versa for that matter)?
Feedback?
Thanks.
Cathy

I used to have that Hotwheels Firebird, but mine was black with a yellow bird on the hood (late 80's). I need to go dig in some of my old boxes and see if I can find it.
