Re: Thinking about selling how much?

It`s a nice car but 4,500 is a little steep for what it is.I only gave 2,500 for mine in similar condition. My dash was mint and your interior is in a little better shape than mine was but that was 5 years ago.My odometer read about 30k but i`m sure that was 130k,atleast.You might get it,just seems alittle steep tp me for an RS even with fairly low miles.

Re: Thinking about selling how much?

6 grand in what?Did you paint it or something.A car with 86,000 miles shouldnt really need that much work.I`m not trying to insult you.Your paint is much nicer than mine now. What does a 90 305 tbi book for?

Re: Thinking about selling how much?

I think that's a little steep, but you can give it a try. That's the problem when you fix a lot of stuff on a car u barely ever recoporate your loses

Re: Thinking about selling how much?

I think $4500 is a good price to start. You should get some interest. Suggestion...Fix all the little stuff, maybe even get a new dash pad. Clean it, and do the carpets.

Re: Thinking about selling how much?

BTW,Did you keep all the a/c stuff you took off?I know a/c may not be needed as much where you are but it is a nice perk on a daily driver.

Re: Thinking about selling how much?

I would put it up for sale for what you think it is worth... If you get some interest then your not out of line. I really recommend advertising in publications like autotrader, you will sell it much faster than selling it by sitting in your front yard or on a corner...

You may get it, the car looks straight and clean, not show quality but you would pay more for a show car...

Ever go to a dealership, notice how clean they try & make everything. Clean the heck out of it, (AVOID ARMORALL) but you can make it look great with some other products...

John

Re: Thinking about selling how much?

Yes my car is very clean and clean all the time i work at the nicest car wash around where they also have their own detailing room where they have got some very good stuff. I am going to try and find my car first or save up about 2k then sell it. If you are wondering why i am selling or what i am going to be trying to get. My dad said its not worth putting alot of money in my car and said buy something that will go up in value and stuff. I will be trying to get a 87-96 corvette and their not bad on price for about 7k you can get a very nice one.
Here is my car domain page. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2648473

PS: When i do try and sell it i might just list it a 5k and will sell for lower but just to see if anyone will buy it. Then i have everything that i have took off the car so a/c, radio but do not have the rims.

thanks
kevin

Re: Thinking about selling how much?

Thats not always the case.My car has gone up in value since I bought it.Atleast according to my insurance agent.I`m about to get the classic car insurance for my car so if it is wrecked I can get most of my my money back.A minor fender bender and insurance companys will total these cars and take everything you have invested. With this new insurance the car will be atleast worth what I`ve spent on it or close with documentation after appraisal.Maybe not to a/all buyer today but its still value to me.
Like some have said give it a shot.I`ve seen crazier things.Goodluck.
