Hi, I just bought a 91 Formula with CC1- Ttops and a 350 in it with the black-laced wheels. I can not find much info on how many were made with this combination. I have found that this was the combo to get the t-tops and 350 engine. I would like to find out how many where made like that. Any information would be appreciated. I don't think there could be many but not for sure.

Okfoz aka John should be able to get this info for you. He is the Formula expert, but this is definitely a rare car. What color? Got any pics? Mileage?
Welcome to the board.

I found some information last night that said there were 2,600 formulas in 91 and 5,200 made in 91, but I can not find a seperation between 350/ttops and 305/ttops. Any info would be appreciated. I did look at the rare list and did not see it on there. Would it possibly fit into that category.
Watch him also come back and say the car is Jamaica Yellow. Wouldn't that just blow everyone away? Sounds like a keeper. Hopefully the car isn't beat up and you can enjoy a rare ride. I'm almost hoping the car is yellow!
No, the Formula is Black, but I do have a 92 Jamaica Yellow GTA. I took it to the Pontiac Nationals last year and finished third in the stock class. It has 82,000 miles on it. The Formula has 67,000 miles on it.
Oh man, there are a lot of people here that just can't get enough of the JY...I bet in the future you will start to see people paint their cars that color and try to pass them off as origional...Just like you see now on the 2ndGen TA Bandits.

Wow, that is a nice collection! Did you have that car at the Trans Am Nationals in 2007 also?
Do you have any pictures of your GTA?
We all have JY fever here. The more the merrier!

My black/black '90 is going to be painted JY. I wouldn't try to pass it off as original, though.

Like I said in my earlier email, there is no official number, it was not published. I estimated the number one time, to be around 200, I have no idea how close that is to reality.
To fill everyone else in on the conversation we had. 1991 is a Bastard year for production figures. Because 1991 started in early 1990 Half of the sources list the 1990's thru the first part of 1991 production and other sources start in Feb, as they should. So getting a real picture is challenging...
