I was thinking DAMN I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY! Time to rob the bank, steal a getaway car, get out there ditch the getaway car give him the stolen money then drive the Firehawk home....No I will be busted before I leave town. Another time perhaps, when I actually have it.
I've got a question for t_towner. How did you aquire all those amazing cars in your sig? PM me if you dont want to clutter this post like i just did, sorry.
One day soon, but unfortunately not right now...very nice though

I dont think this car will ever see $50,000 juist my opinion.$20,000 yes goodluck
considering that low mileage tta's are far more common and go for 25k+, i think 20k is a lowball-ing. However, its probably a bad time to try and sell considering the economy. If i had the cash......oooohhh so tempting

agreed with t towner! I mean as rare as this car is, it's not one that is known by popularity as the GNX or Cobra R. If the word got out as how many of these firehawks were built, then i'm sure collectors would be going at it easily! The rarity of finding one of these gems on the road, let alone for sale, is like finding the mystical phoneix!! So i believe it's worth as much as those other vehicles! Period! You even got the one off color forest green firehawk which is one of one and then a Firehawk Trans Am convertible which is also one of one! Think how much more valuable those hawks are worth! In any case good luck selling it! I hope it goes to a new owner that'll take care of it!

1993 Corbra R Mustangs. 107 Built. Original Price: $25k. Current value: $65-$100k for low mileage original examples.
1987 Buick GNX. 547 Built. Original Price: $29,900. Current Value: $60-$100k for low mileage original examples.
1992 Firehawk. 25 Built. Original Price: $39,995- $67,500 Current Value: ???
Why shouldn't these cars be in the same league (or higher) as the R's and the GNX's? Are they not just as special....if not more special?
IMO they should be in the same league.....they just aren't as well known....yet!
they were built in an era of exotic cars grabbing all the attention. Get'em now while they are still in the lower price ranges. I agree that 20 grand is a low ball price. Depending on mileage etc. They should go for at least 40 grand if not more. Values always drop when they leave the dealership but now I think 50 grand for one that nice is a bargain. The economy is not helping either....I am keeping my sights on one of these cars so I can buy one if I ever have the money.
I was waiting to see just how long it was gonna be before people that do not know what they are talking about started knocking on the price!
This is gonna get interesting if someone doesn't police this thread.

Yea I agree with you RPM...some people need to read up on third gen history. For those who think these cars are nothing special they should read the article I sent to JT in the Media Section on the main page. The article is called Firebird Firepower. Enjoy.
First of I know something. and have been to some of the finest auto auctions in the country and watched my uncle purchase an original AC Cobra 427(ten years ago). That car is not presently a $50,000 car maybe my $20,000 was a little low. There may be a small handful of people on this board that could actually pay for that car, and I would love to own it.Put it thru an auction and see what it brings and I would not be far off.I agree alot of kids will look at that car and say your crazy.I just say its not there yet.And as was stated, not a known collectable car to many people.
I see that the console is different in the firehawk. If i may ask, what is the purpose of this? I don't think it looks all that good.
Had to change the console because of the 6 speed from the corvette. The change was more due to function than looks. After all this car was a race car for the road.
My Jaw dropped. I cant stop staring at it lol. Nice car, to bad i cant afford it. unless somebody has a big amount cash the wont car sell. My dream is own one someday though.

I'm fairly certain this car would have no problem pulling in $50k at Barrett-Jackson.
Personally I want # 25
Aluminum Rodeck 366ci Engine
Arctic White 10U:
Competition "R" Package
T-Tops
I guess we are going to be competing over the same one, I also want T_owner's Jade Green one and the vert but I want the T-top one the most, I just love t tops.

#27 can be bought for $175k-ish. I offered more than I should have for the car when times were really good (even flew out to try and seal the deal)...but no dice.
All 25 cars are still in existance....

No offense but a non-comp car like that should be around $35K right now if not $30K. This is sooo not the time to be selling this.
Does #21 have underbody coating?
Whose signatures exactly?

You would be very wrong. Not to say that it shouldn't be so however.

Looks like the car is already sold!!?! I don't want to jinx the deal but it looks like he was too cheap....even in a horrible economy.
Only 25 to choose from.....
Oh, thank god, I was watching the thread, I really want a Firehawk and was trying to figure how to pay for it. Now I don't have to worry about. #1 was for sale a while back but I don't know how much it went for. I think with a production number of 25, there are more then 25 people who have the means to pay 50+ and will.
20K is too low. Although 50K is ...well good for him.
Although for like 45K you could have had the 1 of 1 twin turbo prototype that went through BJ the other month.
I would say that car should be worth more. But hey more power to the guy for getting a lot of money for the car in a bad economy.
SLP sure as heck couldn't sell that green one forever at way less back when the economy was good.
With only 25 cars to go around, the more they are sold and re-sold and re-re-sold and re-re-re-sold, etc. every time this happens, the seller as a middleman wants to make a profit versus what he bought it for, so I think these prices are artificially high.
I would be interested in buying a Firehawk if I could flip it real quick for some profit. I bet there are at least a dozen other people who have already done exactly that.
