I just saw the red one this past Sunday as it is a local car to me in the LA area.
I saw these cars when they were new.
The Los Angeles area dealers always had the different conversion cars.
Richard Straman Convertibles
Richard Straman Turbo Convertibles
Gale Banks Twin Turbos
MSE's "Motor Sports Edition"
Targa Top Inc.
Auto Form Convertibles
John Greenwood Convertibles
1982 Bandit by Trans Am Specialties
Machiavelli Trans Am's
Tojan's
and others.

Simo, can you send me some what pics you have of these conversions? I'd like to add them to the gallery (if they are not already their)
Nice car. However let me tell you. After its all done and ready to hit the streets, you will still have the haters. My car has some vette parts on it and its all in paint ( not the best paint but good ) I have vette owners turn up there nose at me. ( some, not all vette owners ) Its a L98 TPI 350 with vette computer and vette fuel injectors. It allso has corvette tail lights and a notch back. that makes it look kinda vette like. I call it a corvette with a back seat. LOL But, even if you left your car like it is and drove the heck out of it. You will get more looks than a clean stock 3rd gen rolling down the street. Like a good friend said to me Transform it to the way you like it and roll out.
i just purchase a 1989 firebird formula and the body kit is way diffrent then a normal firebird , i was wondering if any one could help me with some history on why is the bodykit is like that?
