Need good pictures of emission - vacuum hose stickers
Hello, I am needing good photos of the emission - vacuum hose routing stickers that are under the hood on a 1989 IROC-Z 5.7L TPI Auto (non-California). I am going to have these reproduced if I cannot buy them new.

Re: Need good pictures of emission - vacuum hose stickers
Thanks for the reply!
I looked at the sites, but did not find any of them.
The guy that can make these sent me this message today:
"Big John, I don't have those (yet), but if you could send "good" pix along with accurate dimensions, they could be done. I'd need close-ups taken straight-on (so there's no size distortion).
Thanks!"
"Unfortunately, we do not have the Sticker you request. Thank you for making Classic Industries the largest GM restoration parts supplier in the world. Best Regards: Glenn / Classic Industries / Tech Dept."
"Thank you for contacting Year One. Unfortunately we do not offer this. Regards, Marty / Year One, Inc"
"I believe they have discontinued those through GM. Thanks, Steven Woods / Hawks Third Generation, LLC"

Do you have a Laser Printer?
I have used http://www.onlinelabels.com/ before and have been happy with them. They have a bunch of decal materials that you can print on. If you have a Camera, and some time to draw it out on a program like CorelDRAW or Adobe Illustrator, then you can almost make an exact dulicate. They have decals that are intended for outdoors, like barrels, and other things that you can print on.
I will tell you this, if you are really crafty you can even clear coat the decals so they look original. Here are some tips...
Laser printers are superior, especially when printing on a label for outdoors, or as the case may be under the hood. The printing is typically very weather resistant to the elements like water. BUT laser toner is not resistant to lacquer thinners, or paints... So if you attempt to clear coat a laser printed decal it will run...
Inkjet type printers are pretty good. As it turns out Ink Jet ink is water based, so the inks do not typically hold up well to the elements like rain. However they are not susceptible to gasoline and lacquer thinner like Laser Toner, so you can actually use a rattle-can to clear coat them and protect them.
I have done this in the past and it worked reasonably well. Personally I prefer to just print with a Laser printer and be done with it.
Re: Need good pictures of emission - vacuum hose stickers
I was wrong. I went out and checked and my stickers are missing (guess I saw them in my imagination) . I don't see any evidence that there was ever any there to begin with. I'd expect to at least see an outline, but there's nothing.
