89 Firebird Question????

I just got a local ad, there is an 89 FB for sale and the price is right. The ad states:
"5.0L, V8, Auto. PL, PW, Cass, AC, Cruise, Titl, Custom Wheels, New Interior, New Tires, T-Tops, Runs Great"

The car has a sticker on the side that I have never seen, I tries to scan a pic but I can't right now. The sticker is II MA/089 I believe, it's hard to see but is this car special?

They messed up when they printed the picture. Everything on it is reversed. The door says Pro/Am II. If you notice, even the $2000 on the windshield is backwards. Pro Ams were an aftermarket conversion not a factory car and don't have any special value.

Good eye, I didn't even see that the price is $2000 though.

It might be just me, but it looks like it is missing the front ground effects. Might be hard to find those. I am only basing that on the pic in the link you posted.

Re: 89 Firebird Question????

Buying the car is up to you. Check it out and and treat it like you would any normal Firebird. If you feel it's worth $2000 and you like it, buy it. However, don't pay anything extra for it based on it being a Pro Am because they really don't have any extra value.

Re: 89 Firebird Question????

Yeah thanks for the input, I thought it being one of five hundred made it worth a little more, guess not. If anyone wants the # to buy it PM me, I'm sure they will take less than 2g's.
