FIREBIRD TO TRANS AM CLONE HELP

I HAVE AN 88 FIREBIRD
and a 86 trans am
im going to weld on the metal for the skirt package and drill the holes so thats not a problem

only thing is i cant switch the tailights becuz the trans am lights are spaced differently and the wiring systems for the talights wont reach the sockets
so can i swap the wiring system from the 86 trans am with the 88 firebird??
for the tailights only
also would i have any problems siwtching the dash from the 88 and using the 86 dash?

Re: FIREBIRD TO TRANS AM CLONE HELP

Tail light rewiring isn't that big of a deal I've had Firebird owners buy my STS controllers, swap out their tail lights to GTA ones & redo the wiring.

89+ the harness has a plug under the rear seat. I do not know the differences, but it may also be possible to plug-n-play, the correct tail light harness in, instead of cutting & splicing.
