nice, i love the forza series. And i always buy all the Camaros/firebirds and customize the hell out of them. its not too often you see american cars in videogames unless its a viper, vette or mustang.
Its actually a 90 IROC. In either case i was stoked when i was told it was a 88 like mine but 88-90 really look so similar it didnt matter. It is very cool though.
Woop! I've never played Forza, I usually stick to need for speed as far as racing games, but I will buy Forza 3 for the simple fact that it has thirdgens... Especially that GTA...
I've been waiting for a third gen camaro in video games for a while. its great to finnaly see one in a quality game series like Forza. I love forza the first on was so axesome i havent played the second one yet. looking forward to the Third.

I was soooooooo excited to see this! I have so many plans for the GTA already lol, I wanna have a stock GTA, a modded to the nuts GTA, a realistic to my own car GTA (LS1 swap anyone?) and a Trans Am based off my old one. Then I am going to race them all against fox bodies in the new drag racing mode
Thank you for posting screen shots, that has almost physically excited me. Guessing the IROC is deffo the 350. I am dying to see vid of it in-game. With drag racing and numerous modifications, maybe this will save us some money on modding our real thirdgens
ITS ABOUT TIME!!! I have been waiting for this since I got into racing based video games. I love the forza sereis. I used to be a gran tourismo nut but forza is so much better. I can't wait for the game to drop and now with thirdgens its gonna rock. Thos e screen shots r great thanks for postin up.

I know I cannot wait to see the cars in game. In the menus the cars are not very detailed at all. They will look 10x in game... I cant wait to take a black GTA down the drag strip. It is gonna be amazing... You guys know that you can do motor swaps and all that good stuff right? This time around instead of just being able to switch motors from cars in game, they actually have crate motors that are not put in production cars. Hopefully they will have the GMPP 350Ram jet, the 502Ram jet, the LS1, the LS7, and various other engines as options to put in these bad boys. I know for a fact you can at least put an LS1, and LS7 in them. wouldn't it be ****ing sweet if you could stick a SD455 into a GTA???
since the Buick GNX is in game too, I think it would be amazing to take the 3.8L turbo and stick in into the GTA and paint it to look like a 89 Pace car... oh the possibilities, I CANT WAIT!! I pre ordered the limited collectors edition the other day too. I JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING ELSE, It would be amazing to take the engine out of the new ZR1 and put it a thirdgen...
I´m not 100% certain about Forza 1 engine swaps since I have not played the game since Forza 2 came out but in Forza 2 you already have crate engine options as well as existing built engine options for some vehicles.
In Honda for instance you have the choice between some B series, some series engines and for the chevy camaro and corvette engines range from LS1, LS7 to C5.R. The last one is no crate option and can not be upgraded but the previous 2 come like base engines and can be completed from there.
I do not see this being changed in Forza 3. Still no chance I can place a 13B or 20B rotary in a Toyota Corolla or an LS1 in a Mazda Savanah. As in previous incarnations of the game I expect engine swaps only for engine lines from the same manufacturer.
Still, I´m very excited about third gens as well as 2nd gens appearing in a racing game. I know the 2nd gen Firebird could be downloaded for Forza 2 but I do not have a live subscription and will not get one due to low internet speed over here... I just would end up with endless lag.
I do hope Turn10 did a better job in audio recording then they did for Forza 2 and 1. Sound was good in those games but the GM V8´s did all sound similar from a certain point of modification onwards and were far from satisfactory in my opionion. At least compared to my car, the sound of a stock 4th gen with exhaust and intake was just plain disappointing even though apart from intake and exhaust my 3rd gen is stock and only has the 305 cid engine.

Guess what guys, I GOT TO DRIVE THE GTA ON THE FINAL RETAIL GAME TODAY!!!!!!!
I went to the Barrett Jackson auction here in Vegas at Mandalay bay today. In the vender section they had a booth for FM3, so I went over and looked. I got to play the final retail version of the game with all cars and all tracks. I of course picked a black 1987 Trans Am GTA. It looks AMAZING in game!!! I took it to Laguna Seca and did 2 laps. It handles pretty much just like in real life, but in the game the gears are way to long so it was kind of slow. All that car would need is the gears adjusted and It would be a rocket!!! I can not wait for this game, the car looked real!!! The cockpit view was amazing!!!

Fantastic, thanks for sharing (lucky git ) Not too long to wait now
Thanks for sharing those pics and in game info BigBadGTA! I saw the names on the official list and almost freaked out, lol, but couldn't stop wondering how they looked/ performed. It's nice to see they're actually adding cars like these and even the fox mustang (can't wait to drag against one, lol). I do agree with the solitaire though, I really hope they took more time making the car's exhaust more unique for each. I noticed a lot of cars did end up sounding the same and it is kinda annoying. I hope they eventually get to the point in the series where even the different brand mufflers/ exhaust have their own sound. Anyone know anything more about what kinda of mods they added? They say they added 50 percent more, but I never saw anything much about it. I know I personally was hoping they'd add more specific upgrades like actual different sized cams (with their own sounds) rather than a generic name like a "racing cam" or "racing exhaust". Just about every game will leave you wishing for more though, lol. At least they seem to be going in the right direction.
Unfortunately none of the trailers give info about what 50% more means. I have so far not heard anything from people stating to have played a leaked illegal copy so I doubt the copy works.
Therefore we´ll have to wait a bit I guess.
I hope 50% more means 6 different stages of tuning in between stock ad full professional racing upgrades instead of the 4 stages Forza 2 has. This would help me a lot.
As is with Forza 2 granularity isn´t bad, but I find myself playing around with upgrades and currently always prefer the block upgrade before chosing a cam upgrade to get the most out of a vehicle. With few extra options between sport and race upgrades I guess getting better setups for particular tracks would be possible. Still, compared to about 10 years ago todays gams are just awe inspiring ad Forza havig 3rd gens is going to be a playground I´m really going to enjoy.
I was a little bit disappointed by the choice of tracks for Forza 3. There are some very nice new tracks available, furthermore, most tracks from Forza 1 and 2 are in there, and some of the downloadable content for Forza 2. Still, I would have liked Spa or Zandvoort. Also, Oschersleben is a very nice track and from the US tracks I would have liked to see Watkins Glenn race track.
As they say, you can´t have it all. Even with some options included which in my opion could have been lef out and some omissions which I would like to have seen included I´not the only one who will purchase the game so I´ll take what the game has to offer
They had a deal, or still have a deal, where you can get a Forza 3 Racing seat, the game, and the Xbox steering wheel/pedals. You got 50% off the wheel, and the game for free. Came out to like $400 or so. I want to take one of my spare 4th gen seats and build a racing seat with the wheel...but I need more living room space first haha.
The guys that design these games arent dumb. Im sure they research the popular swaps for each given car. I would be TOTALLY shocked if there wasnt an LS motor swap available for the thirdgen cars...and the other gens as well. Forza 2 had the LS motors, as someone else mentioned, for the first gen.
Im excited for this...

Its not weird, this is history in the making. The first video game to have both a thirdgen 'bird and a thirdgen camaro. I think that Grann Turismo has an '88 IROC Concept in one of their games.
Nope, Forza has always been an XBOX exclusive title, so no Wii.
I wonder who moved this to history/restoration... Seems a bit odd.
ah figures
and the only game that i know of (until the ones mentioned) was need for speed pro street where they had the 69 camaro though it was programmed worse than other cars. and on the pc version i heard about people having the camaro concept
Wonder if the popularity for these cars will rise because of the game.
Oh and by the way you could put an ls7 in almost all the GM cars in forza 2, You could also put an ls6 in a 2002 camaro ss which made me lol.

I ahd a badass 7 sec 69 Camaro and a 2010 ss that did 205mph on my 360 in pro street, i cant wait to have a 7 sec IROC and a 250mph GTA in Forza 3!

I'm pretty excited too, I pre-ordered the Limited Edition like 2-3 weeks ago. It's getting annoying though because I see all these vids on youtube of people that are already playing it and I can't help but want to do my own things, lol. I had the same idea for a seat, but with one out of my 87' Formula. Need to get a wheel setup (that Porsche one with the clutch pedal is lookin pretty good ) and make some room first though. The closer the release date gets, the harder the wait is for me, lol.

I remember playing GT4 with the IROC, but their car sounds were horrible. The car looked wierd too, but not the worst I've seen I guess.
I heard that gran turismo 5 is gonna have a gta, and a iroc too
Good because I have it on pre-order from Amazon. Bastards changed the date though from December to April or some crap though I swear it's the most anticipated game to never be released lol!

They did the same thing with 4. Over 2 years of delays.

Yeah something didn't seem right with the IROC's gearing aswell. I watched a video of it on the dragstrip and it was doing 120 in 3rd
This is the first time I notice that the 1990 3rd gen has a different dashboard compared to the production years before this.
I own a 1989 and to be honest, prefer the earlier dash over the newer one.
When looking at the above images I am not quite impressed with the exterior glass on the camaro. Still, the rest of the car looks awesome and tire deformation really looks convincing. 6 more days untill my copy of Forza 3 arrives.
