Re: Working Camaro flashlight

i don't care cause I got one now, but I only paid 25 for mine shipped and it was in perfect condition... LIKE new, but if your in a hurry to make some cash or get rid of it, I'd drop the price a little. Like I said tho, I dont care. Just a brother helping a brother with a tip of my knowledge.

Good luck tho

Re: Working Camaro flashlight

Thanx Bud,........ But I'm really not in a hurry.

I'll hold onto quality Parts for years to get the right price for them. A good example of this is a 86 third brake light I just sold. I had the thing for about 5 years before selling it for $60 + shipping. It was NOS and I turned numerous offers for it. Someone found it was building a show car and was willing to pay for the quality.

If the flashlight bulb was bad, it had busted tabs, or if it didn't light up than I would sell it cheaper. Since finding one of these things is like hitting the lottery these days - I'll keep it in my drawer until I use it in one of my projects or someone feels that $50 delivered is a price they are willing to pay to have one to fill the hole in thier console !

Re: Working Camaro flashlight

he got a real good point, I sold him the one he has now i noticed he was looking for one for a wile and sold him 1 of mine for $25 in mint conduction. i am that type of person who will help someone out and sell it for a good price.
Hay if you want i have 4 more in mint shape i come across them all the time. If your selling them for $50 i will sell you one of mine for 40 then you can hold it as long as you want and sell it for more for all i care.

let me know if you want to buy some of mine,
Thanks Tony

Re: Working Camaro flashlight

Thanx anyway Tony,..........

Like you I still have 4 more - but they are staying with the complete roof consoles I've got.

I too "help people out",.......... Most of the parts I sell here on ThirdGen are Rare parts or are of Exceptional quality. A prime example is would be the BOSE Gold Hatch box, "CAMARO" factory Fabric the roll out cargo shade I sold here over the last week. Not only were they rare and of the highest quality - but I sold the shade for $25 less than the asking price. Got any of that stuff hanging around ???

http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/in...ml#post3480253 (Roll Up Shade WORKING condition)

Thanx for your 'kind' offer - but @ $40 each by the time I paid to get them here I would need to sell them for MORE than $50 ( shipped ) to break even. Since your the "nice guy" here and find these things "all the time" I'll buy the 4 you have left at $25 each. Let me know when your ready to ship.

Edit:

I just read a classified that was pretty interesteing:

http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/in...lashlight.html (Working Camaro and firebird flashlight)

Care to comment GTAfanatic ???

Re: Working Camaro flashlight

I care to comment.

GTAFanatic sold a few of them to me and some others for a best offer price because he's just a nice guy helping out others...

In the marketplace once you realize what people are willing to pay, you don't charge them 10 15 or 20 dollars more than that, or you won't get a sale.

As for GTA... he is selling more at a lower price but is still making $. Yeah he's not making as much for one or two as you are but it takes him less time to get his product off his hands and into the consumers hands, and thats what will attract more and more consumers to buy. In the long run selling them for a fair price is best.... Look at wal mart for example. They are such a HUGE business because they sell a product thats the right price for the consumer.

As for me I will always go back to GTAfanatics posts, because I know he's fair and isn't trying to get top top dollar for all he sells.

Stumbling on a bargin is possible, but the $40-50 range for a working flash light seems to be the going rate (I sold one for $40) these days. Don't purchase if you feel the price isn't right.

Re: Working Camaro flashlight

I do have 1 more shade, i put one in my 89 gta. Maybe it is different around my part of town cuz i do find these parts often. AS for the flash light the one that said Firebird (i have only seen two of these so i guess this is the rear one) i wanted $50 for it but i sold it to my friend for $35 as for the camaro ones i sold two of them to aletheian. I am going to hold on to the few i have left now and give the people reading this thread a chance to buy them at the price they feel fear. ITS now the buyers decision to who they want to but it from. I AM NOT TIRING TO STEAL YOUR SALE and want people to know this but again its there choice.

I hope there are no hard feeling John, if there is i will remove this post.

John, you still have this? I see you have a nice camera, could you flip the pieces over and take pics of the outside? Mine got stolen (or more than likely chucked out the window) when the car got stolen a few months back, and I had a mint light that I got on ebay, and I'm trying to get back to mint.

The flashlight gets mounted in a roof console. Some cars had them as standard equipment and they were optional in all others.

way to stick with your price John. I'm selling my el camino rolling chassis and have been getting low balled for the last week(offers like $1,500 and $1,800.) If i don't get a price closer to $2,500 it's going to be parked until spring. :-)

I agree. It "seems" as though lately, if a seller doesn't accept a lowball offer, he's not a good guy or he's not helping the thirdgen community. Nonsense.

If something is in that pouch anbd it doesn't have a clip - it ends up hitting the rear seat backrest at every take-off !

The firebird ones seem like they dont show up very often

I've also noticed over the years that the "FIREBIRD" light seems to be a lot harder to find than the camaro version. This might be because this roof console was standard equipment on the Berlinettas and optional on ALL other F-Bodys.

Hello John,
Would you be willing to trade a pair of hood louvers with only one half broken stud on one louver for the flashlight and the hush panels?
PM me for details if interested.

Re: Working Camaro flashlight

The flashlight that is pictured is sold - I'll remove the photo so that the incorrect image isn't referenced. I'm sitting on one and a half flashlights right now....... and planning on using the one.

When I saw your request about the Flashlight with the busted tabs - I looked at my "half" light. it is a "camaro" light with 2 busted tabs. No value it trading that so I never replied to the request.

I updated the Hush panel Add with more details about those panels......... Sorry I can't help you on the light !
