I have a very nice factory aluminum spare tire that came out of my 1988 trans am gta... i have never used the tire and its in excellent condition...... i would like to get 30 plus shipping for this...... very nice product...... pm if interested....
thanks stephen....... oh by the way i got my strut brace and wonderbar.... noticed the improvements and requried no modification to the hood or the tpi..... great stuff....
Left is the black painted aluminum spare (yes, the factory painted the early aluminum spares black) for the iron caliper cars....And right is the PBR caliper spare.
Which brand did you end up going with on the STB & Wonder Bar?
i got the bmr strut brace and the umi steering brace.... feels alot more together in the front end... getting the bmr sfcs, torque arm and relocation bracket by the end of this month
The so-called 1LE spare, the 10-spoke alum, will fit the rear discs of Delco-Moraine calipers, 82-88, but, as I mention above, will not fit PBR calipers, 89-92. Check the following link for more details, especially post #9:

Other way around..The black aluminum is the 89 up PBR and the aluminum 10 spoke is for all the prior year rear disc cars..
ames was correct

Possibly. Been a few years since I took those spares out of a 87 & 89 & took that pic
I'll double check the sizes. I think one was a 14".
You apparently didn't read the entire link. Please do so and get back to us.

I did.
It talked about putting 4th gen brakes on a 3rd gen axle.....If there is a Post in a Thread specifically dealing with something, link to the Post, not the whole thread.

I did above. It says check post #9 (a pic showing 89-97 calipers). And because you need a bit of spoon feeding, note #7, #11, #12, and #14 which all clearly state that the spare in question won't fit. At any rate, the bottom line is that you're simply wrong.
19, I see no reason why the spare won't fit a drum rear.
To the OP. My apologies for drawing this out, but posting correct information is to the benefit of all thirdgen members.
I'm out.
