85 Camaro Berlinetta Parts Needed

I am trying to restore a 1985 Camaro Berlinetta. Am looking for the headlight/turn signal switch, digital dash, seat belt assemblies for front and rear. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, I think you PM'd me a second ago... What color seat belts are you looking for? I believe the ones I have are considered "charcoal" kind of a dark gray. I'm not 100% sure what kind of shape they are in. If you're interested I'll definitely get some pics. Anyway, let me know...

Ok, cool, I guess I will have some pictures for you tomorrow of the seat belts. Well, technically, I guess it would be later today.

Re: 85 Camaro Berlinetta Parts Needed

Dang man, I'm sorry, but apparently the previous owner decided that it was not necessary to run the retraction spring on either of the front seat belts... I thought it was just messed up "Comfort Locks," but when I got them out, there was something conspicuously missing from the side:

So, neither of the upper front seat belts are retractable. In addition, the driver's side was kinda faded in the middle, with a bit of a stain as well.

I can't believe this. I am really sorry to disappoint yet again. I guess that's what I get for not taking stock of my parts. I was waiting to do that 'till after I strip it out and get the shell taken away...

Anyway, I was unable to get to the rears today (too much console stuff piled in the rear seats, and it got dark too fast), but I will check 'em out for you tomorrow. The way things are going, though, I wouldn't get my hopes up... I'll let you know...

Hey thats cool on the seat belts, The main thing I am in need of are the seat belt latches more so than the belts themselves. If you have these in working order let me know and price for them. Thanks

Have you contacted John In RI at all for the digital parts? He may have some of the parts. I have two and a half sets, but have yet to test them.

No I havent contacted him. Is he on here? If not can you give me his contact info? Also, if you are able to get around to testing please let me know if they work. The main thing on digital is the speedo and tach board or the whole unit. The needle gauges on mine still work, just dont know how fast I am goin.
Thanks

Re: 85 Camaro Berlinetta Parts Needed

Yea i've got 3 guages, and one of them i will be keeping, one of them i know is on the speedo and tach, so i gotta figure out whats up with that one, one of them works perfectly, and the other one i just picked up from a car so i need to test. I got three wiper controls and two turnsignal/headlight controls, and 3 headlight control modules. Just gotta test my final set becuase i'm keeping one complete set for my next project of finding a sports coupe and turning it into a berlinetta. I will try and get it tested relatively soon, but with finals and i got A LOT of stuff i need done on my firebird, but i will get around to it. John In RI is on this board, just use the advanced search function, and do a search for his name. Guaranteed to find him. If not i can try and help you more. Good luck!

When i test them out i will access prices and shipping. I don't want to get your hopes up, i do not know if these fully work yet or not, plus i'm not positive when i'll get a free second to test them. Finals all next week so look for after that. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Re: 85 Camaro Berlinetta Parts Needed

Hey, well I got out there again to check out the seat belt buckles, and it's not looking very good. The plastic part on both the fronts is all broken around the top (not the buckle itself, but the part that goes down the side of the seat and bolts to the side of the trans. tunnel).

The rears are in better shape, but one of them is kind of bleached out on the plastic part of the buckle. I washed it, but it didn't come out. Here's a picture:

Also, the release buttons are very faded, not really red in color any more. If you wanted 'em, I'd sell them for $12 shipped...

I would think you could find some in better shape, though. Possibly from John in RI. He is a great guy to deal with, and definitely knows his way around Berlinettas. Here's a link to his TGO member page.

Well, I am parting out the whole car (1984 Berlinetta Parts)... However, I don't have any of the other stuff you listed up there ^ in your first post.

I have a "Starship" steering wheel (kind with the controls on the spokes). I have a complete auto console set-up (minus the radio pod for now. It worked, but I took it apart to fix an issue with the tape player and haven't put it back together...). Also, got an overhead console for hardtop. Engine parts for, I think it is a LG4 V8 with computer controlled carb. As well as anything else that isn't listed in my main thread (1984 Berlinetta Parts) as being sold. However, some stuff I haven't really looked at yet, so it might be in less than desireable condition. As you know . But, if you need anything else, just ask, and I'll see what I can do.

Here's all my stuff on TinyPic (image hosting), that is all the stuff I have gotten pictures of so far.

Thats cool. How much are you wanting for the shifter/ashtray bezel? Also, do you have the door sills? Mine are rotted out and the windows are starting to get banged up since there is nothing between them and the doors. If so how much for them? Thanks

Door sills: The sills themselves are in pretty good shape, but the felt strip is completely ruined on both. And those new are like $50+ last time I checked. I'm not entirely sure I want to sell them yet either, might wanna put 'em on my IROC...

Shift Plate/Ashtray Bezel: It's also in pretty good shape, save for a bit of a cigarette burn. Here's a link to the picture. I was kind of hoping to sell it with the rest of the the console, but I would sell it by itself for like $40+shipping (probably around $50 shipped). I know it's alot, but I can't shake my impression just yet that Berlinetta console stuff is pretty rare and I should eventually be able to get a decent amount out of it... And, it's in damn good shape 'cept for that little bit of a burn.

Well if ya decide to sell the sills let me know. As far as the console I can hold out to see if you are able to sell the set as a whole.

Ok, yeah, I'll definitely let you know what I decide to do with the sills. I'm in the middle of doing a complete restoration of the T-tops, so everything else is kind of second to that. Not too much fun to drive around in Washington's winter w/o the T's in.

As for the shift plate... I thought about it some more and I think my price is a little out of line, I had it listed if it went with the rest of the console for $30 so by itself I think $40 shipped (for now) sounds a little more like it. I will let you know if it comes down any more. I might separate and start dropping prices more on the console stuff when I get rid of the car. 'Cause then the stuff will be more inconvenient to keep around without the car to store it in...
