Re: 89 Firebird - Need Wiper Switch; and also horn plate (under steering wheel), Mass
oh, I wasn' sure if they were colored to match the interiors. Well, let me see what my options are in the next couple of days. I'll PM you if I can't find just the switch and ring.
Re: 89 Firebird - Need Wiper Switch; and also horn plate (under steering wheel), Mass
Dave, I'm up in Amherst, MA, and am parting a '92 TA. The column is still in the car...I'd prefer to sell the whole column but let me take a look at it this weekend and see about removing that one piece you need. I will also look for the wiper switch, which I should have.
Re: 89 Firebird - Need Wiper Switch; and also horn plate (under steering wheel), Mass
Not to block Bull but the 90-92 horn plate under the steering wheel are different because of the airbag wires. I don't believe they will work on a 89 or older column, I would make sure.

No, that's good of you to point out, since I had not thought of it.
He could swap the whole '92 column in, though, right?

Yes but a 89 or older non-airbag steering wheel on a 90-92 Airbag column MIGHT give you problems with your horn even if you removed the yellow airbag wire from the column.

Correct me if I am wrong but, I believe the wiper switch to be different in the 92+ models - going from autozone's site. Thank you though. too bad, that would have been great based on location.

Well, I am not sure. It is unfortunate, though. If you need anything else, please let me know. I have quite a few parts left, from minor trim pieces to an L98 and set of Ronals.

If your still looking i have a column from a firebird laying around in the attic. I'll pull it out tomorrow and look at it if you are still interested. I dont know if it has intermitent wiper switch or not.

I should have the Internal Wiper Switch! They run $20.00 plus shipping and handling. Sorry, but at this time I am out of the Horn Rings. Also, if you do change the Complete Column the 89' is a one year only column which is a Vats Non-Air Bag Type and kind of rare. If you have any questions or other needs we can be reached at (805) 522-2539.
Re: 89 Firebird - Need Wiper Switch; and also horn plate (under steering wheel), Mass
Thomas, I sent you an email, hopefully you get it. I found a new horn ring that fits 100%, it's Help! brand at Autozone $5.99 there are two model numbers, don't recal what they were but the one I chose was the number lower than the other. (ie: I chose "502" not "503", or whatever the numbers)
