Dead or alive, doesn't matter, need a pair so I can unsolder and remove the 'male' connector and re-solder to my new ones.
Guy who fixed mine fried the old ones, got nice new replacements but connectors don't match, don't want to trash the old ones (car is all original) in the process.
Any help greatly appreciated...

Thanks for the offer but found the solution after a lot of searching around last pm on google.
You can buy a harness to convert your speakers to aftermarket and it is pretty cheap. It is the Metra # 72-4500, runs about $7-8 for a pair through Amazon.com.
It has the male snap connector for the GM harness, and spade type connectors for the aftermarket speaker terminals. Mine will be here next week, will report on how it works.
Thanks for the offer, though. You wouldn't have a clean pair of black speaker grilles would you? What else do you have from your 88 left?
I made a set myself.I had quite a few aftermarket speaker connectors here.I just cut off the harness pieces from a set of factory speakers and spliced them onto the aftermarket spade connector ends.
