What size torex head

Hello everyone,
I need to remove my driver side seatbelt to repair the hookup. I want to know if anyone knows the size torex head I need? It seems rather large...would a socket head be best to remove the seat belts from the frame attachment or some other tool? Any tricks or thoughts on dissasimbling these for repair?

Thanks',
Wayne

I always use a T-47 Torx socket and have never had a problem removing seat belt buckles

T47, although not that common, is the correct size. A t50 and a hammer can make it work.
I tried to use a normal bolt to replace that stupid torx bit after, but the factory bolt is a trilobular thingie, acts as a locking mechanism. That's why they're so stupidly hard to remove. Kinda a safety thing. Anyway, i'd put that bolt back in when you're done...

True what these guys said, the reason I use a t-50 is because I got it for free It works just as well and like mentioned above I do have to tap it into the bolt (YAY FOR FREE TORX BITS)

I went to 3 different Sears hunting for the elusive singley sold T47 Torx , Each had a rack for them but None in stock ! They had a set though that contained one for like 59.00 dollars. and that sucked cause i had most of them. Then ran by Lowes. They completely suck. nothing. The third sears i searched for about a half an hour, as i was about to give up. i noticed out of place. A T47 OMG it cant be. yes !!!

My girlfriend bought me the big Lisle 12 piece Torx set that has T-10 all the way through T-60, and T-47 was included so I use that for the seatbelts. But be careful because I bent the bracket on my passenger side that bolts to the body. I had to just bend it back with vice grips and I've never been able to get the seatbelt off.

I bought a Stanley set of torx sockets which didnt include the T47 but I had one from a previous lisle set.The lisle torx sockets tended to twist the heads or snap under alot of force.Thats why I bought the stanley set.I also found a T47 socket in a Junkyard Camaro
