"what is the hole behind the hatch release on the console?"
I don't know.... It is a perfectly drilled hole that didn't mess up the console atall, maybe an alarm light??? It was there when I got it. There is a matching one under the dash where the key goes gut it isnt nearly as clean a hole. I hate the hole. I want to get a new console!

Alarm Light is what it looks like and would be my guess, altho its a shame your interior is super clean... - the unknown hole...LOL,jk
should just put a switch in it and make it look like it does something...jk
Well I went to INDY 08 and got a nice dash plaque that is about 1.5 inch by 3 inch that I may mount there temp. to hide the hole until I can get a new console. It needs a few interior pieces to be perfect. Wheel needs recovered, I hate the ghetto AutoZone wheel cover, I need a new shifter bezel but do you have any idea how hard it is to find one that has the ribs that is not the 90 with the yellow indicator?!?! I guess thats all the interior needs to be basically mint. Now the exterior.... needs painted, wheels need refurbished, need two new center caps (equally as hard to find)... the list goes on but its a really nice 20 footer.

Oh wow, what brand of seats you got there? their looking pretty sharp.
what my seats? lol well if your referring to mine then thats cool they are bomz racing seats and they come in all kinds of colors not expensive either but not too cheap. i actually got a hundred off of them brand new cuz some guy didnt want them and they were never even mounted lol and it was the perfect color to match.
its just nice as hell to see these clean interiors, i'm used to people just using their cars as trash buckets,
unfortunatly i just put mine away for the winter so i can't take any pics
but hopefully i will soon anyway.... maybe a before and after for when i redo it all
hey how'd you do the headliner? i have to put mine up and yours definitly looks the best

and jesus that wood grain looks good,
wulfgar the pen, Thankyou for your compliment. It is quite simple. I peeled off the old fabric, (it was mostly flapping in the breeze anyway, LOL) I then used some cheap paint brushes to paint on ALOT of contact cement. (Alomost 2 quarts) I let it sit for a while until it was no longer tacky, then painted on some more. I kept adding layers of the contact cement until it stayed tacky (3 - 4 times) Then, with someone's help layed on the fabric. It is felt from the local fabric store, Joann Fabrics. It is a national chain, like the Rag Shop used to be. You might be able to find one by you on their website. Comes in a variety of colors, is lightweight and only cost $3 a yard. I bought 2 yards and used about 1.5 yards.

thanks a ton, i've been looking around for a way to do this for a while and you just answered my question
Looking at these pics really makes me miss my '88 Notchback. Picked up a '88 RS (from Arizona) for a winter project. 1st post. Been diggin around on the site for about 5 hours now and got alot of great ideas. Has anyone tried the Autometer drop-in gauge sets? And realistically, how long do you figure it takes to install the 4th generation dash and console? Any pros and cons of 4th gen. Camaro dash vs. 4th gen. Firebird dash? I used to do custom interiors but this will take it to a whole new level for me. Not tryin to get off-track here and I apologize for that. Thanks guys. Keep it up.

I couldn't find the original fabric used on the "lear siegler" edition seats, so I ended up restoring them with leather. I was pretty satisfied with the finish.
Those integra seats, how do they fit? do they bolt right on the the original seat tracks or what? are the comfortable? do they affect head room? Im kind of in the market to get new seats and integra seats would probably be fairly easy to find. thanks
1991 Acura Integra seats. They were from another project that never got off the ground... and they were free.
Just finished recovering the original headliner.
Man, I got a pair of 1990 Civic SI recaro seats that are mint (exact same as yours, just in a civic). I'd love to put them in my car, but was never too good at figuring how to do stuff like that. How tough was it to bolt those integra seats in your car? Lemme know how you did that.
I really like what you have done. The Red with the black accents looks really good...
I remember having speakers & such in my hatch area... Oh the days. Then I realized that throwing a suit case or my supplies to go to a show that was more than a few hours away made life interesting.
these are some before shots of my new 92 trans am.....
i have no intentions of modifying the stock cluster......
but plans for car
4th gen center console(have to figure that one out lol)
gta or 4th gen seats
re do headliner
i am found of the odd looking stock air bag steering wheel.......all aftermarket wheel on third gens look wrong..IMO I might put a 83-87 trans am wheel on it
