I am about to order my replacement carpet and I'm wondering what everyone's experience is with cut pile versus loop. Loop to me looks to be the way to go but I'm looking for some opinions. Anyone?

Loop was only used until the early 70s. From the mid 70s on, everything has come with cut pile. I suspect that the loop carpet would look very out of place in a thirdgen. I did have one customer who I sold a loop carpet to for his Camaro, but he never sent pictures to me, so I can't say for sure how it looked. If you were trying to pull of an old-school type of theme that included vinyl seats, loop carpet and perhaps a thin wood-rimmed steering wheel, it might work, but otherwise I'd stick with the cut pile.
