Ok my guides in my power pull down on my hatch went out but thats not what i need help with. While waiting on fbodymotorsports for ten years on the package that never came my strut bolt for my shocks went out. it pretty much broke in half and now its uneven so i have to fix that before i can fix the guides. now one problem is i cant seem to find the bolt (ANYWHERE!!!) so do you know where i can buy one. Here's a pic of it.

Auto supply stores also have general replacement bolts for mounting shocks. I bought one this summer for my Camaro after I destroyed one that came with a new shock.
It was a HELP! Shock Bolt Kit #31001 from Advance Auto. I think it was less than $10.00

Went to advance yesterday and got the bolt part. Problem.....Its for the wrong strut. Don't know if you understood the question but the bolt im looking for is for my hatch. Sadly That bolt wont work for it. I guess i have to scour the salvage yards for it.
Dont worry...if you need to install that bolt before your fbodymotorsports order comes in, you have enough time to widdle it out of stainless using only a kitchen knife. haha.
But seriously...the dealer might have some, or might be able to get you one next day or something.

Sorry, but I did not catch that you were looking for the a bolt for the hatch

Yea I've quit relying on Fbody. I got my money back for it and went through hawks. But yea i think i'll go check the dealership today and if its not crazy expensive i'll get it. If not im giong to a junkyard.

or perhaps there are other cars besides f bodies that use the same hatch pull downs
that was a good show!! No haven't thought of that. dont really know if i have the experience to do it either. haven't tried fabricating anything yet. Though I guess its a good time to start.

Ok so i got my guides about 3 weeks ago...but one problem...i cant get the striker on my hatch to hit the latch. so it wont go down...in other words i think the motor assembly is stuck in the down position...how do i get it to move up?
if your looking right into the motor get a screwdriver and poke this thing that i believe that looks like a trigger. It will reset your hatch motor. When your looking at the motor you cant miss what im talking about. Its real simple i had to do it you just push it to the side a bit and your motor resets. Do a search there are tons of threads on it. sorry i couldnt me more specific, id have a look at my car but its in the shop.

make sure that you hear it click when it is either in the all the way up or down position before you expect it to work either way, also i would advise getting the correct bolt for the pull down unit it has special machining to fit correctly so that there is no play when the motor moves. i thought i remember seeing top down solutions selling those used. also that switch could have a short in it as well, i just went through all the hassles you are going thru...wiring, rewiring, to find out that one of the three wires coming out of that switch had a short and would work sometimes and then not others

yea it clicks but its still in the down position...i tried pushing the trigger and it didnt reset. the reason it quit working is because the plastic guides broke ( I think) so i have no clue what to do now...
ok if it is clicking repeatedly then the plastic gear is broken and all you need to do is replace it. the clicking i was talking about happens when the arm on the motor completes a cycle either up or down. if the gear is not broken then you need to test each component on its own to see what is causing your problem. you can test the motor by applying 12 volts to it and you can test the position sensor switch (the black plastic one with three wires) , take the middle wire and put it to ground on an ohm meter then take one of the other wires one at a time and see if your continuity changes by moving the switch.... i forget what color does what but if you are that stuck i can go look and see for sure. I see that you are in tomball, i am in clear lake there is a pick and pull in pasadena that has several of those motors in the cars
