didnt find much everything was based on the trans ams swap which has its own individual radio pod..... so im doing a quick template cuttiing just woondering if nayone has any pictures of what i can work with..
I installed a 4th gen auto center console and I had to hack up my radio pod and make thing smaller... Its not done, I need to find a matching face plate to go with the pod...what do you have in mind?
Mods so far: MSD Cap and rotor, MSD ignition coil, Accel 8.8mm ignition wires, Hooker Super Comp Shortie Headers, Flowmaster 3in catback, underdrive crank pulley, custom cold air intake, NOS wet 125 shot, air foil and a lead foot! no E/T's yet. ...TURBO COMING SOON...Other mods include keyless entry and remote start, and Sequential Turn Signals.
I did it in my camaro, but it didn't look good. I even cut up a console and made my own little camaro radio/heater pod and it still didn't look good. The way that 3rd gen dashes/consoles and the 4th gen's look don't clash very well. After some thinking I came up with a custom 3rd gen console, but it's not done yet so I'm not giving any more details about it. My advise to you is to get some ABS sheets and custom make something yourself. I just don't think that the clash of the 4th gen console is worth the benefit of cupholders.
that dash look really good, The two role together well. what did you use for the radio, it don't look lke a ta radio pod , and do you have any pics of the headlight mod while it was being done?
Not yet, only took if for a quick little ride in the late fall, scared the hell outta me ! haha...and I still need to finish it up yet over the winter !
No, I don't have any pics of the mods required for headlamps....but it I basically modified the factory composite unit via fiberglass boxes in which I mounted the Caprice units. Quite a bit of work actually.
Steve's is much cleaner looking than mine, but here you can see what it looks like with a 95 camaro center console:
