It looks like you had great results...
My question & I've been told by SEM and others, if you have a black piece you want to make lighter, you should use a grey, to lighten up the black, then the color... but, from what you just showed me, doesn't seem like you need to... ???

Re: INTERIOR RE-DYE "HOW TO" VIDEO

No not at all in fact in the second gen community when finding used panels for a project everyone tries to find black donor parts even if going white. Back in the 70-81 models the black interior plastics had UV agent in them and did not become chalky or brittle like say the light blue, red or camel tan did.

I have had about 10 1980 Indy Trans Ams and the white interiors were always sun cooked. I always when buying used get black panels and reset them to white using the color in this case Oyster white as not only the base but also the final color.

The only time I have ever used an off color from the final color is on the red mixing Firethorn and Portobella red to create the dark Carmine color many 78-81 models used.

hope this helps!

Re: INTERIOR RE-DYE "HOW TO" VIDEO

My 91 pieces are all black and in great shape, so hopefully, the same applies

Next question...

You refer to it as "camel tan", but my card only shows a "Camel 15173"... On the video, it looks lighter, close to the "Palamino 15323"... I know all monitors / cameras can affect this, is that the camel color you are using, or is there another not listed on my card?

I posted a link to this video / discussion on a Knight Rider board since many of the folks there will be going this route...

Thanks,

Rafael

I have used both colors. This piece was for a 78-81 part and the color used was indeed the Camel.
