I was just curious if any of you have used the SEM paint to paint your inner plastics? I have grey interior and want it Knight Rider black...just curious if you all had good luck with SEM?

Bobby_80s is giving very good advice! The prep work is sooo important! While I didn't go as far as he did, I scrubbed everything well with a degreasing soap and warm water using a nylon bristle brush. I used VHT plastic paint in black and it turned out very well... it's a very good match to the original 3rd gen black. I also used their vinyl dye that comes in an aresol can for the firebird deluxe "gta" door panels and it has held up well for several years now, even on the rubber-like interior door handles!

go to my post which has my project from start-present still adding to it but let me know on the post what u think, hope this helps. on there are before and after pics of my painting interior panels and much more.
The door sills had the paint scrape off in some spots due to my doors sagging. The guage trim has held up very well for a couple years with no problems. I also suggest that you let them sit for a couple days after painting before doing any serious handling or installation. They will also have some "dust" to wipe off. I wiped mine with a damp rag and got a lot of black dust off of them before installing.
I just used SEM Landau black (Item# 15013) to respray my A-pillar trim piece. This black matches stock color really well. I just washed trim piece with simple green and then sprayed a couple coats on. Was around $13 for a can at Sherwin Williams Automotive store.
