your ants werent by any chance under the passanger side carpet were they? mine were lol besides the thousands of ants the only things ive found are a hair clip and a fake fingernail (like the glue on things) and a big hole above the gastank where they made an access hole for the fuel pump and never closed it back off they just stuck a rag in there and covered it back up the interior was replaced by the previous owner so no good finds lol

not really a weird one, but i was taking the center console apart to but a new shift cable in and i found under it the whole wire set which seems to go to a XM Radio set that the previous owner i guess i had installed. found the usual though when i bought it, some quarters, and i found a really old radar detector, it was REALLY old lol.

Re: No doubt a pointless thread, but what's the weirdest thing youv'e found in your c

Im my 86, the PO had removed the original carpet, put in carpet for your house. The seats were duct taped, and they had used old license plates to fix a hole in the floor pan. They also wired up daytime running lights for the headlights. There was no radio, all the wires were cut. It took me hours to dig around in the dash trying to find all of the original radio wires. Since then I have replaced the interior with interior from a 92 GTA (Black), put an aftermarket radio in, fixed the floor pans, and removed those running lights.

LOL WTF

That's funny! Believe me, I know the pains of cleaning up after the last owner. He did an engine swap and messed up ALL the wiring, fuel system, and just put a sheet of metal over a rusted floorpan...which i've yet to fix.

Friggin' ghetto dwelling d-bag who stole my car left a give-away condom (still packaged) in the seat back map storage (!!!) found it after the car was recovered and I was looking for the owner's manual.

Took me six years to track down another rear deck brake light spoiler (It's an '87 Convert ASC)

Lemme see now. I'll be a great grandfather in Feb 2010. I have 4 3rd gen birds, 1 3rd gen camaro, still build and ride chopped Harleys. Somebody must have forgotten to tell me there was an age limit. Long live the graybeards.
As for the crap I've found in some of these cars, the list is endless.
Oh yeah, buying bird #5 next Sat.
Just HAD to throw in 2 cents worth for us "old people".

This is not necessairly weird, but when I picked up my car (it had sat untouched for 2 years) I found about $20 in change (mostly pennies and nickels), two large orders of petrified McDonalds fries,an expired MasterCard, an unused tube of lipstick, some silly Easter project one of the kids had made, a bunch of hay in the rear hatch area, a price tag from a JCPenney dress (large petite, $99.99) and a boatload of mold and crap all over most of the plastic in the car.I think I made Simple Green stock shoot up about 4 points. There was also, stuffed under the back seat , a receipt indicating that the car had been paid off in full by the previous owners' daddy.

Re: No doubt a pointless thread, but what's the weirdest thing youv'e found in your c

In my first car (87 Firebird) I found a volleyball/tennis net in the spare spot in the trunk, and a deflated basketball under the drivers seat.

In my current project (91 Camaro RS) I found that the PO used cardboard bolted onto the firewall to cover the hole for the missing blower fan, and fake grass/turf carpeting for floor mats in the backseat. There is also this random flip-up switch attached to the dash pad in front of the gauges. I've flipped it a few different times driving and idling and still can't figure out what it does, but it lights up when the headlights are on. Guess it's time to trace out the wiring, lol.

No offense taken. Hopefully(fingers crossed) I'll still be able to pick up bird #5 tomorrow. I'll let you know what I find in this one. It's on an auction lot and I haven't had the chance to see what kind of grunge is in it yet.
Maybe I'll find a few viagra's
If it turns out to be halfway decent, my 90 bird goes to my daughter in college....then, I get to start all over on another one.
Ummm...gettin off topic...sorry bout that

Re: No doubt a pointless thread, but what's the weirdest thing youv'e found in your c

I should be posting a lot on this thread in the future, my Iroc wasn't running right for a few weeks, so it sat, and meanwhile, mice just WRECKED the foam of my backseat.

After a new battery, new shifter cable, new radiator hoses, it runs great, but what was funny is, about 2 families of mice came running out, never seen them go so fast.

I'm running a 3 inch Y pipe dumped after the axle, no muffler, and basically a destroyed cat, it's the original, so I can understand why they ran so fast, I revved it up to about 6 grand a few times while in the garage, echoed like crazy.

But anyway, not to get back on topic so fast, but I'm in the process of getting rid of the backseats, and carpet throughout the whole car. It'll serve two purposes, keeping the mice out, and a tad of weight reduction. So I may find some crazy stuff, I hope so anyway, it'll make for good stories.

Re: No doubt a pointless thread, but what's the weirdest thing youv'e found in your c

let see i just had to strip out mu insides to trace down wires ..
under the back seat i found about 10 lighters .. an old pack of mentos . the key to unlock my car. old 80s sun glasses and about 2.00 in change.. under the carpet and door trim and rear hatch i found about 20 pounds of wire where the owner had stuff hooked up and did not bother to take out the old wire just left it .. and under the hood since he was a fire chef it still had the siren and light flasher .. witch i have taking out so i did not get in trouble but i can tell you it still works lol and that's about it

Though not technically inside, a group of wasps decided to make the inside of my side view mirror their new nest.

After I hit the nest with wasp killer.....the survivors tried to move to the other mirror. All-in-all I killed over 30 wasps.

My 92 Z28 was new when i got it.. and after three weeks i started to pull the car down. to make it into the Hot rod I wanted..

as i started to pull the front end off.. and take the eng out.
we ran across a dryed out frog in the front of the Car. above the Air dam.

i put him in a plastic box and slid him in the bottom of my tool box..

for the logest time we called the car.. Mr Toads Wild Ride..

LOL Best time was 10.30's

yes still have the Car..

When I took out my backseats, I found 2 razor blades. I guess someone was suicidal, doing some coke, or just felt like trying to cut the interior.

Well, this wasn't in my RS, but after coming down from a 2 day camping trip I was greeting a loud chirping noise emanating from the engine of my 99 suburban. What I found was this:

A very alive and very unhappy marmot. We poked at it with a welding glove and it jumped out and ran.... and climbed into my friend's engine. hahahaha

We had a similar problem with a mouse in my friend's car Saturday. Started the car up for about 5 seconds, turned it off, and the little critter ran right out. I suppose a larger critter might be inclined to do something stupid like go for a fan or belt though.

My 87 Camaro had a butter knife, a roll of tape, a hair clip, a grey seatbelt clip (my interior is tan), and bungee ties.

Some of the odder things I'd found in other cars were unpaid parking tickets, arrowheads, rolling papers, foreign change, owners manuals to different make and model cars, cigarettes, CDs, and religious paraphernalia.
