4th gen mount will not work. Also, I dont think our tops fit down into the well like the 4th gen tops do. I could be wrong, but I thought I remember trying to squeeze them in there once I saw how the 4th gens worked.
However...I like my t-top bag. I have a sub box down in the well, and the bag holds the tops securely and safely while still alowing room if you need to put stuf down in the well.

the tops will fit in our trunk well. There isn't as much room on each side as in the 4th gen, so the holders on each side would have to be thinner than the 4th gen ones are. I started working on fabricating my own a while back and will eventually get back to it. The important thing is that it is physically possible to design one that fits though.

Thats what I'm going to have to do also I guess, do you have any pics of the one you started fabing up?
I really liked the holders in my LT1 bird. However, I've always thought the leather carpeted bag with the GM logo on the outside was pretty classy. The holder are much faster and easier but you lose 1/2 of your storage space. I'm interested to see a nice home made peice to hold our ginormous thirdgen t-tops.

no, I didn't get far enough where I was ready to take and post pictures of it. I'll be sure to post some when I get back to working on them again. Now that my bird is being repainted and I'm rebuilding a set of t-tops with new seals and trim, I'll want to get working on this again to protect them when storing in the trunk.
