Moving Rear Seat belts Up front?-

So i been cleaning up and fixing up the interior some more, Kinda chasing all the little things that no one ever see's but drives you crazy.

And I had the ideal of replacing the front seat belts (driver/passenager) with the rear seatbelts.

How can I do this?

Is it a direct bolt on move or do Ihave to braek down the mech on the seat belts to get the belts and re-wind them.

I already have the rear removed from the car but havent done the fronts yet- due to still driving the car.

Anyone do this ?

I don't understand... why would you want to do this? Are your fronts just in bad condition and you're looking for a cheap replacement? If so, they aren't interchangable. The rear shoulder belt retractor mounts with a bolt and an alignment pin, the front shoulder belt upper retractor mounts with two bolts. Many people, including myself, have swapped in 4th gen front seatbelts because they are relatively cheap and easy to find in good condition.

if you just want a clean pair of seat belts it can work. the real problem is you cant get the belt out of the darn seat retainer - they are two small unless you tear the thing completely apart.

Not really, my fronts are in great shape but black and I have a set of gold rears (in great shape also) that I though would look nice up front- Kinda part of the Black and Gold Look
Thats all

well you're outta luck then because they're far from interchangable. I am pretty sure they made a darker tan color seatbelt in the 4th gens though. it's hard to find good condition 3rd gen ones now.
