I was quoted 2800 to re upholster all four seats, headliner and door panels in leather or 2000 in vinyl. Is this a fair price? I want to go two tone grey with black highlights. I have a 91 z28 all grey interior. He will also redo padding. I've seen his work and his seats look awesome.
We have a ton of interior kits available for your thirdgen Camaro. We offer seat upholstery kits, headliner kits, door panels, and we're also a ACC carpet dealer. We can match the seats to your door panels.
All of our upholstery is MADE IN THE USA,and retains the stock seat patterns. Our seat kits also come with hog rings and a set of hog ring pliers.
Here's a link to the Camaro section on our site,if you have any questions I'd be glad to answer them for you.We also offer FREE SHIPPING on all parts.
If you saw his work, and it is good as you say, then you have found your shop. I searched for 3 years, going to car shows and asking owners who did their's, and one shop kept being repeated, the one I used eventually. I couldn't be happier with the quality and experince.
The price you were quoted wasn't to bad, the materials are expensive and there is a lot of labor involved in sewing seats together, fixing/padding headliners and door panels.
The seats were made using patterns of what I wanted, cut from red and black cloth and sewn together. They fixed the foam and welded a bracket to correct the seat. Additionally, they made my door panels and recarpeted the whole car. The headliner was a diaster, they ordered a plastic one and sent it back as soon as they got it because they didn't like it. So, they took all the fabric and padding off the cardboard original one, and used some old craftmanship to fix it.
Once they had all the materials and we sorted out my ideas, they had the car stripped of the old interior and the new one installed in 8 days. They did an awesome job. And, to answer your question, I have $3100 in mine.

I got the same thing done in black leather minus the headliner for $750. I went from factory grey leather to black with gold piping. I would only pay $2800 for a paint job...the interior can be done for less if you search.

If you don't want the expense of real leather we have the Hampton material that looks just like leather, and it's not shiny like that 80's leather. It's soft and comfortable too. If you would like me to send you a swatch of it so you can see and feel what it looks like, I can hook you up.
As mentioned in the 3rd reply.Covergirls has great prices.I was quoted $750 for Fr/Rr seats in blk leather w/perforated pleats.Same as the 96 T/A seats ive got now.Ill be sending my money that way soon.
