Car: 87 IROC Z Engine: 5.7 L98 TPI Transmission: 700r4,2500 stall Axle/Gears: G80,10 bolt 3.42's | Re: seat belt buckle recall This has been covered in an extensive thread somwhere on here so try to search it.However,After reading that thread it seems that it depends on who you talked to a what dealership and how persistant and informed you were.I was dropping off a truck for work and asked the service manager there about it and he told me that a saftey recall like that had no time limit on it as long as it was not already performed on that particular car.I was told to call him and give him my VIN number.I havnt done it yet,but my seatbelts seem to function properly. They retract and stick as all the other vehicles I own and drive do.I f you can find the thread it has pics to of a clip that is installed so you can tell if your car has had the work done.I would go to your local dealer or dealers and talk to them.I got a good answer out of the first placed I asked. We have atleast 8 or so GM dealerships not counting hummer/saturn around here.I can imagine I could get one of them to do the work. Some people have been given the run around so be prepared.Good luck.
