__________________ Camaro owner's prayer
The Camaro is my obsessions;
That I shall ALWAYS want!
It maketh me burnout on black pavements;
It leadeth me down the busy freeways;
It restoreth my soul.
It leadeth me in the path of quickness;
For its name sake.
Yeah, though I drive through the valley of RICE,
I shall fear no turbo, for torque art with me!
Thy rod and thy piston, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a track for me.
In the presence of mine enemies;
Thou hast anointed my bearings with oil;
My car overpowers.
Surely traction and victory shall follow me
All the days of my life.
And I shall dwell in the house of the Chevrolet\
Forever and EVER! Amen.
You can replace the upholstry for 200 a seat with factory covers. So don't spend too much on covers.
I'm really new at this stuff..... but are seat covers basically the... **** that covers the seat? I only ask because when I think of seat covers the first thing i think of is those shitty, ugly *** things you buy in walmarts automotive section.
Where can you get the factory covers? I got red leathers that have definitely seen better days
Hampton Vinyl is your best source.They make OEM type replacements.Not the crappy under $100(or whatever price)slip on covers that merely go over the factory seats.Hamptons are "fake" leather, but good imitation & require you to remove the originals.They go on the same way as the OEM.You can also try a local upholstery shop.
the covergirl uses ultra leather which is vinyl also. leather can only be bought by the hyde which is around $400 so that would make the price go way up but she said she can get it. I am more than likely going to use imitation leather just because it is easier to take care of.
Just as the guys mentioned above, the covers you were looking at on eBay are just covers that slip over your existing covers. There is no way that those covers are going to fit snug tight if your putting them over your existing seats. Believe me, I do this for a living and I know. The covers I make actually replace your old covers. You take your old covers completely off your seats and put the brand new ones on I make. If the foam in your seats is still good and puffed up, the covers I make will fit very tight just like the pictures you see on my website. Remember you always get what you pay for. The Ultra Leather and Hampton Vinyl is very very good durable stuff and looks just like the genuine leather which is so expensive to buy, but I can get it if your wanting to pay for genuine leather. Just a thought for you to ponder.:>)
