I just picked up a complete power mirror set-up (both mirrors, switch, wiring harness) from an '88 IROC that I am installing into my '87 IROC.
Now I know that the switch can/will go into the door panel, but the wiring harness looks like it might reach up to the center console.
Can anyone tell me if the mirror switch that locates in the door can also be located in the console, and if so, where exactly? (pictures would really help).
I know the switch for the 'Birds was in the center console, and thus had long wiring. Maybe they just used the same wiring for the Camaros, but mounted the switch in the door panel. Are you sure you have wiring for a Camaro? Is your switch black, or grey? Grey is 'Bird switch, which won't fit in the door panel (it's just slightly larger for some reason).
