| Help with swapping berlinetta parts to z28 car
| HI well to start off. I have a 1983 Z28. TBI crossfire injection 305 v8. I am buying another camaro as a parts car. 1985 berlinetta with a digital dash. Is it possible to swap out my original gauge cluster for the digital cluster in the berlinetta? Also would the dashboard from the berlinetta have to be placed into my z28? and if so would anyone know if that all would fit? my gauge cluster is the normal camaro cluster with the MPH reading to 85 top. I know for a fact that my cluster pulls directly out and has electrical contacts for all the gauges but the only gauge that is cable driven is the speedometer.. So that being said would this other digital dash need converting and if so would the parts from the berlinetta as far as wiring harness/etc work for my car or would i have to buy some stuff? Im hoping this would work because my normal MPH gauge doesnt work. i broke the needle off and had no luck soldering/glueing back. hopefully someone knows if my original dash pad/cap would fit on the berlinetta dash or no? im asking because im buying this car tmrw and depending on how much parts i can use, i wont buy it. parts car does run and drive. | | |
