side skirt removal

Im trying to remove my side skirt on the drivers side, and i have gotten all the screws off the skirt except for the ones in front of the rear tire. i searched and saw that the screws are on the inside of the car and the inside pannel in the back needs to be removed. i cant seem to get that pannel off. do i need to remove the seat to get to screws holding that on?

also is that all the screws holding it on or am i missing some?

Re: side skirt removal

You can access the screw through the rear speaker opening if you can get the speaker out and the insulation behind the speaker is missing. I have Bose so I don't have speaker baffling. To remove the baffling, you will have to remove or at least loosen the rear plastics. There is a screw under the seat back area. Using a small screwdriver or an angled driver, you can remove it without taking out the seats. This will allow you enough space to remove the speaker baffle. Reach in to the bootom and you'll feel the nut that needs to be removed.

Re: side skirt removal

You can remove just the lower part of the interior panel!

Remove the lower seat cushion. You will find a screw for the lower section behind the seat (fold down the seat) . Remove the sill panel and the lower screw on the black trim behind the door window opening.
The lower half will come out, with a little finese.

A long extension and either a 7/16 or 12mm socket (deep well) works great!
