i just bought new rims for my 82 trans am (tt2's), and i originally had the knight rider turbo rims 14 inch.
My question is...
is there any profit at all if i were to try to sell them? i notice on ebay and craigslist that everyone always goes after the 15 inch turbo rims.
I just didnt know if they would have any value at all even if i tried to keep my TA all original.

oh crap... sorry its my first post and didnt see that it is set under the 'interior' forum. my bad. dont know what i was thinking
They will not fetch the prices the 15's will, but they will sell...
I highly suggest Eagle 1 Alumium / Mag Wheel Cleaner... it does wonders... People / Squirrels / Monkeys like shiny things = more $$$ for you
Raf
the thing is that i bought a donor car and i really like the rims on it... so i didnt know if i should keep the donor car rims and send the donor car to the junkyard in the 14 inch turbos.
That is if they arent that valuable.
you won't get alot of money out of them but with 15's getting harder to find sometimes people are willing to settle for 14's (temporarily anyway) you might be able to get at least $100 out of the set, instead of giving them to the junkyard & having them make a profit, either by selling them to another firebird owner or crushing them for the aluminum.
keep the rims & whatever usable parts you can get off the donor car & sell them.

the donor car is a 86 v6 put i only bought it for the interior being in such good shape and the bumpers and tail lights.. the v6 is crapped out tho and my friends say i should put the 305 i swapped out of my car into the donor car and put the turbo rims on it and sell it to keep the 3rd gen spirit going.
but do you think that if i keep the 14 inch rims for a few more years that people will start going after them as well?
i should really put pics up of the turbos and the donor car's rims.
not exactly the price i was looking for.
the shipping itself would probably be ridiculously priced. i wouldnt know the rates.
Thx for the offer though.
