QUESTION ABOUT SEAT SWAP

I've got a question about 4th gen seats. Yes, I tried seaching didn't find anything I was looking for.

For those that have 4th gen cloth or leather seats, I know they bolt right in but do the actual seats slide back further than the 3rd gen seats? Are the seat tracks a little longer? I'm hoping they do, I would hate to drop a bunch of coin on better seats that still don't give me enough leg room.

Re: QUESTION ABOUT SEAT SWAP

why not make some extensions to make the seats go back further. Mine have been done that way and go back an extra 2 inches. I also switched seats from third to fourth gen. All you have to do is get a three inch by one/ one half inch flat piece of steel and put hole at each end. Then on one end, add a tempered bolt to bolt to the seat. This acts as an extension for the seat to move back further. Hope it helps.

So, the 4th gen seats don't slide back any further, that's kinda all I was looking for.

Re: QUESTION ABOUT SEAT SWAP

FURTHER back? I don't recall really. But I will say this.....

At 6' 5" tall, with a 40" inseam, all my height is in my legs. And the 4th gen seats (with manual tracks) give me great leg room!

Re: QUESTION ABOUT SEAT SWAP

Although people have had different experiences, mine and anothers sit higher than the original Thirdgen seats do. This is only for the electric ones and are both are from mid nineties F-bodys. The other guy switched to manual tracks because they are lower.
