110mph Gage Cluster To 145mph. Help, Confused ! ! !

Hello there everyone, first of all thanks for looking in on my post.

Today I bought a 145mph gage cluster of a 92 Z28for $60.00 in the best condition possible.

My question to you guys is, do I need to do any special modifiacations to the gage cluster so it will read properly? Cause im confused on the part that if I put in the 145mph cluster would it be accurate to the 110mph cluster? Or do I need to change any sensors or cable's? Cause I dont want to be doing like 30 in the 145mph cluster and in the 110mph cluster it would read like 50 or so?

Any suggestion would be appeciated.

Thanks. Tony.

double your money and sell it to me.
But if you want to keep it it should be a direct replacement. the ecm puts out a pulse and then the spedo has resistors it to add just for the speed on the face.

Re: 110mph Gage Cluster To 145mph. Help, Confused ! ! !

Thanks to everyone that gaved me suggestions and advice on this instalation. The install was suscessful, I had trouble taking off the knob for the headlights and after a couple calls I was told that theres a button type of thing in the bottom of the switch inside the console that you press in and you pull the lever and it releases it. About swaping the gage cluster was simple as 1, 2, and 3. Just to get it to it was a pain in the a.s.s all the bolts that you need to take off just to get to it.

If anyone needs help on this shoot me a PM and i'l help you and give you advice on hot to put it on.

Thanks. Tony
