Need to be a bit more specific...is the entire cluster not working, or just certain things. Do the lights light up as they should when you start the car or when you turn your headlights on do the illumination lights come on. More details of what exactly is happening is necessary. Otherwise, a wiring schematic to your 92 guages is found on the link below.

sorry, i meant everything on the cluster is not working.everything is just hanging and not moving. but it does light up like its suppose to when i turn on the headlights. right now i'm just having trouble taking out the cluster because i don't know how to take of the knob for the headlights.

If it's like the '88, you need to pull it out half way, and then you can see the back of the switch, inwhich you need to insert something like a paper clip into a hole to release the rod. Been a while since i've done it, but pretty sure the Haynes manual covers it. Might find it doing a search online here, or someone might chime in. Sound like one of the power wires isn't getting power. Before you go tearing everything apart, check all fuses. While your at it to be sure it's not a fusible link...is anything else in the car acting strange or outright not working?

Again, series of things to check...fuses...headlight switch that electricity is coming and going, and pretty much from there, making sure that the bulbs are getting grounds. Pretty simple set up and again, the wiring schematics for that are in the link that i sent you above, and even has indepth details like what fuses it uses and if there are fusible links, ect.
