can somebody help me with my steering column

i just got my replacement column in and i cant get the old one out. i remover the two nuts from under the dash and the three screws connecting to firewall. and also the bolt and nut the connect to the bottom of the column under the hood. the column will drop down and slide back a little but will not come loose. am i missing something that connects it? i havent driven my car for a week and need it fixed asap

might hafta tap that shaft under the hood where the bolt was with a hammer, they sometimes get stuck.

I finally got it off. I had lock my legs against the floor and pull way harder than I though I did. When it came loose it smahed my finger against the bottom of the dash and cracked the fingernail. Now I'm headed to get a key made with the right vats chip. Finger is still purple but its better than paying the shop two hours worth of labor. Thanks for the help
