U wouldn't know any one with a factory cd player for a 90 GTA would you
I must have seen something different. A gallon? Is it like paint or tar. Sorry havent see one of those ever. Really Melt hmm. Even tho its for roofing the hottest part of a house?
I did my entire floor pan with the peel-n-seal, and it's working well. It took me about 4 rolls, and I still need to do the hatch area. I also taped all of the seams with buytl tape, to make it as waterproof as possible. I got it at lowes, it's over in the roofing section, where the shingles and stuff are.

The rolls were in the roofing section as stated and were almost 14.00 dollars a piece. So i did the front for 30 bucks. Im not sure yet on the difference I have the carpet back in but ive pulled my dash so maybe tomorrow ill check out the noise.
I haven't noticed any smell, even after the car has been sitting in 100 degree texas heat. I don't really have a fair comparison for sound levels though, because I went from driving around with bare floor pans, to peel-n-seal and carpet -- I did the peel-n-seal right before I installed the new carpet. However, it's nice and quiet now, although there is still some road noise from the hatch area, I need to put peel-n-seal down back there as well.
I did mine pretty much exactly the same way as the pictures above, but I also did underneath and behind the rear seats, and covered as much of the trans tunnel as possible. I also taped all seams and edges with butyl tape, in an effort to keep water from getting underneath.
One thing I remember reading is that you can really only get away with using the peel-n-seal on floors, as it doesn't stick so well to roofs and doors.

Well I drove for a 2 hour trip yesterday and noticed a differance but not as great as i thought it would be. But I havent done the hatch area and my dash is pulled so we will see sometime next week. I dont smell anything but its not hot here so idk.
You can put on as many as you would like. It can be brushed on rolled on and sprayed on. I put it on the inside of the hood on our in boat to lower the nosie, and will be putting in on the inside of my 1990 GTA. take a look and www.quitecar.com
