I know the seats bolt right in. I've seen pictures with the center console, radio, and HVAC panels too. Not sure how hard it is though.

Re: Looking to do a 4th gen interior swap

the search bar is your friend. The seats should bolt right up and the center console should go in with a little bit of fandangaling but the dash and the side panels require a little more work. The dash has the added complexity of wiring the gauges and other radio and HVAC controls. People have done the swap though and im sure a quick search will show you a step by step

I just picked up front black/charcoal cloth seats from a 99 Firebird in excellent condition for 60 bucks. Gotta love Craigslist.

Re: Looking to do a 4th gen interior swap

i got a whole 95 firebird interior (dash and all) for $250, gotta go pull it out on thursday. one quick question about the 4th gen dash tho. Does the upper dash pad come off with screws or is it clipped on? im not tryin to break it when i remove it.

any other pointers for removing that 4th gen interior are welcome and wanted.

The parts ain't the problem its that nothing bolts right in all you have to make fit the car.

Re: Looking to do a 4th gen interior swap

im doing the same swap i have leather seats and door panels out of a 4th gen maro in great shape an im about to get a center console an dash out of a ta for free hopfully.. i herd you have to mate the 3rd gen pillers with the 4th gen with a little fiberglass and prolly shorten and maybe narrow the dash but im sure all this is in a step by step diy thread.. Good Luck with the swap!

Again, "search" is your friend. There are thread with a pic of what 4th gen wires do what (good for pigtailing).

You might want to also get the a-pillars from a 4th gen as well.

IIRC the 4th gen dashes are about 1-2" shorter on each side when installed. One post there, the OP took 4th gen a pillars and trimed them to fit (took A LOT of work). Otherwise the dash will look incomplete. Ojne guy did do a custom dash out of fibreglass and it fit really well.

Also, you have/using AC? I've yet to read about a swap where the ac/fan controls work the same. Something about the fan speeds not working like they should.

Re: Looking to do a 4th gen interior swap

I found all the info about the instrument cluster and a-pillars, im looking for the headlight switch and a/c controls mostly. i only need the a/c controls to be able to turn the fans on and controll the speed. im fine with having no a/c and leaving the heater on defroster

I beg to differ on the AC panel swap part. I mated my thirdgen HVAC lines and vacuum lines to the 4th gen HVAC controls and everything works as should.

how did you wire it? and wiring on the headlight switch would be helpful too
