i have a 1985 Z28, just recently, the door locks quit working. when i push the button on the driver side, they still "click" but neither side responds. what is the most likely problem here? the switch itself, or a solenoid? any ideas? thanks, rick

The problem is common to our cars. Try a thorough cleaning with WD-40, then relube with white grease and you should be good to go. Since you'll be in the door panel anyway, you might consider some of the info in the following link:
