The seats are held in with 4 bolts, pretty simple to take out. If you have a power driver seat, you'll just have to unplug the harness under the seat no biggie at all. You can have them both out in 15 minutes.
For the carpet, you'll need to remove the center console. Not to tough, not sure about a bird, but on a Camaro you just remove the shifter knob, and remove the shifter cover and radio bezel. I think there are 2 bolts inside the center glove box that keep it held down. You'll just need to pull on it, and see if it moves, and keep looking for any bolts that might be holding it down as you go.
I think that's about it, oh you'll need to remove the 2 sills by the doors too. The carpet is tucked under it, and it's easier to remove if they are out of the way. The seatbelt retractor thing, is held in with a 50 size torx, I went to Sears and got a socket like thing that fits on a socket wrench, makes it easier to remove.
