GTA door panel swap. Help!

I own a set of black GTA door panels and I plan to install them on my base firebird. I used the search button before anyone says to search first, found some info, and none of it really answers my question.

I DO have the arm rest brackets required. But I don't have the other metal pieces that were on the GTA doors. Here is an EBAY that shows some of the metal pieces I am talking about... I am not soliciting anything, just showing pictures of this for reference because EBAY doesn't let me copy and paste pictures.

Thanks in advance!

Re: GTA door panel swap. Help!

I dont really see a question, you just state your plan and give an ebay link.

I assume you want to know how to attach them w/o having brackets on hand? IMO you need to just hit up classifieds on the board here and maybe contact a site like thirdgenranch and try to get someone to sell you the brackets off of a parts car. Otherwise fab up your own which sounds like a hassle.

It's the mounting angle of the bolts that makes them different.

Re: GTA door panel swap. Help!

Yea, i was going to go purchase a few brackets, but instead decided to use the original upper brackets to a non-gta door and just had to drill a hole. As long as you don't put the screw all the way in, it will not twist the arm causing the fit issue, and i've heard of bulging the door panel, i haven't really noticed it, but partially due to the fact i didn't put the screw absolutely all the way in, just enough to get the arm rest resting against the bracket and held. Otherwise contact one of the sources above, or even Hawks Third Gen and one of them will be able to get you the brackets you need.
