dying door panel tops help

hey guys,

i have a set of cloth grey black camaro panels that were in the car when i got it, and had matching seats and such. I have since ditched the seats for some sparco buckets, and now all of my interior is black exept for the top part of the door panel that is grey.

Is it possible to dye the cloth black? if so, and any recommendations to what supplies to use? is it as simple as buying something in a can and just spraying them? I just want them black to match the rest of my interior and the panels are in great shape so id rather not replace them.

any tips, pics, recommendations are greatly appreciated

Randy

Re: dying door panel tops help

Try this stuff: http://duplicolor.com/products/vinyl.html I used the same brand to repaint my front bumper after I took the bra off the front and found out the previous owner rear ended someone and left me with no paint on the front.

You can usually find it at an auto parts store or Wal-Mart for around $10-15 a can, you don't need primer with it since it's fabric, just make sure you get some painter's tape to to mask of the parts you don't want painted. Good luck!
