Calling all 5-spd owners.

I'm looking for your thoughts on new shifter boots.
This is the upper one that is visible, not the one mounted to the actual floor.

I need to replace the one in my 83 T/A and have looked at a few different ones for sale, but unsure what would be the best.

If you have bought a new one, please tell me:

What brand it was:
Where you bought it :
How much you paid for it:
Did you like how it fit. or not:

Pictures would be a plus.
I searched and didn't find what I was looking for, so thanks for your help.

Leon

Hey, Leon, you may find the following interesting (note the redline link in post #2. Click on the red 82-92 for a pic):

http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/in...-boot-4th.html (Manual shift boot from 4th gen)

A bit pricey perhaps, but the product looks great.

Re: Calling all 5-spd owners.

Purchased a very nice black leather boot from "topgaiters" on Ebay. The company is in England and I am very satisfied with the product. Price was $14.99 but shipping was $9.99, well worth it though.

They have nice looking ones in fake leather for $25 including shipping. Look under the "upholstery work" tab.

I like the 88 GTA boot. It looks clean, original and fits the rest of the interior. nice.

Re: Calling all 5-spd owners.

I bought one from Topgaiters(ebay) on the first of the month (after seeing 88GTA's picture). I will let you know what I get and how long it takes to arrive.
